Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography

This is a 21-month certificate program designed to produce
competent sonographers through educational and clinical experiences. Upon
completion of this course, the graduate will be qualified to work in hospitals,
clinics and doctors' offices as members of the dynamic healthcare team
of the future.
The Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography program is located in the The
University of Kansas Hospital for clinical instruction while aspects of the academic program, including application and student services, are handled by the University of Kansas. The program was first available as an academic program in the School of Allied Health in 2004 and is provided by Mid-America Cardiology in the University of Kansas Hospital.
