STEP 1 - Contact agencies or people required to send information directly to the KU Cytotechnology program.

  1. Arrange to have one official copy of transcripts from each college and university that you have attended sent directly to the department.

    International students please note:
    Foreign transcripts must be submitted to one of the acceptable evaluation agencies. This official evaluation – both in credit hours and letter grades – must be sent directly to the program PRIOR to the application deadline. A succesful evaluation does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

    Any transcript not from an accredited U.S. college or university must also be evaluated by the KUMC Office of International Studies before acceptance to the program.

  2. Contact two (2) different individuals who can provide a professional recommendation on your behalf. It is preferred that college instructors provide these recommendations but past supervisors during employment or volunteer positions are also acceptable. The recommendations may not be obtained from family members, friends, etc.

    Print two of the recommendation forms from the application packet (below). The completed, signed forms must be returned directly to the cytotechnology program director from the person making the recommendation.
STEP 2: Documents provided by the applicant by mail.
Please complete provide all information and required documentation specified in the application packet below and mail in one envelope to the cytotechnology program director. Applicants should keep a copy of all documents. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to open and print the documents. Download it free from Adobe's Web site.

International Students
You are considered an international student if you require a visa, or currently reside in the U.S. with non-immigrant status, or are currently residing in the U.S. and are applying for permanent residency. International students may be required to provide additional admission documentation, test scores and/or course work evaluation.

If English is a second language, applicants must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), and arrange for scores to be sent directly to KU. A satisfactory score on the TOEFL must be obtained within the previous two (2) years.
